The Jointly Maintained Christian Science Reading Room in downtown LA is struggling to meet the operating expenses of rent, salaries and utilities each month and have had to borrow from their Perpetuity Fund. Only about 100 Christian Scientists in the area currently contribute to the Committee of 500 fund. If 500 contributed at least $120 per year, the deficit could be met. Contribution envelopes are available in the foyer and in the clerk’s office.
