August Quarterly Membership Business Meeting

“Conversation with Akayla”

Church members, family and friends are all invited  to meet in the Sunday School room right after church on Sunday, July 19th to hear Sunday school student Akayla Bustamante informally share her experiences from her National Leadership Conference Adventure Trip to Alaska.

Welcome new member Christopher Stone.

            Our church participates on the Christian Science Committee on Institutional Work in Greater Los Angeles, the committee that provides Bible Lesson services, one-on-one interviews, books and literature to inmates in Federal, State and Local institutions in our area.  Pat Nowak has been appointed by the State Committee to serve as a Chaplain and needs to step down as Representative and Chair so she can devote her time to this work.  If you might be interested in being our church Representative to this committee, please let the clerk know. Monthly meetings of this committee are held via teleconference, usually the last Saturday of the month.  The call-in time is 9:15 am with the meeting beginning at 9:30 am:

The members of First Church of Christ, Scientist Laguna Niguel will be hosting a two-day Higher Ground Bible Conference on January 23 and 24, 2010.  They would like to be able to reduce the cost to attendees and are urging local churches as well as individuals to send contributions for this gift to the community by September 1st so they can determine a budget.  Our church will be donating to this event and you are also welcome to do so.  First Church of Christ, Scientist, 29012 Aloma Ave., Laguna Niguel, CA 92677-1504.

The purpose of the Christian Science Nursing Care Endowment is: to help individuals who are seeking healing in Christian Science; to remove the imposition that would claim the absence of God’s abundant love and provision for Her children.
