Reading Room News

            Please let Pat (714/895-9446) know if you are interested in ordering the new Concord program for Mac or Windows so we may order early.  The money saving introductory offer will be available through January 2010.  And please check out our Reading Room for gift giving ideas. Wonderful items are available for children and adults!

Executive Board

Thank you to retiring Executive Board members Jeanette Fischer, Dabney Howe, Cathy Phillips, and Steve Treasure.  Lindell Belote was elected to continue on the Board, and Jeane Bright, Nick Nowak, Gail Shoup, and Cheriene Yaryan are new members of the Board.

Boy Scout Hike

The Long Beach Boy Scout Council will be hosting a 10 Commandments Hike on Friday, November 27.  The First Stop on the Hike is at our church where we will share our faith and explain our interpretation of the First Commandment with participants.  The hike will continue throughout the day with stops at other area churches and will cover each of the 10 Commandments.  Our thanks go to Jim Raynesford for helping with this project.

Our dear member John Brossart passed away November 1st. 

He took beautiful photographs of nature including photos of our church pear trees in full bloom.  He will be missed.
